Another Baltimore is over and for most dealers the Baltimore Fall show is one of the top 3 shows of the year…. (Fun and ANA Summer being the other 2)
Baltimore buzz early on seemed strong…dealers were hopeful and excited to be back in the city that took a hit over the summer with the issue of riots downtown.
The amount of dealers at the show setting up was strong…not the largest we have seen but certainly more than the summer show.
However due to combo of precious metals dropping, economy, and some great auctions recently it seems that sales for many were just not up to what was expected. Now several dealers have their own agendas for posting “best show ever” and some dealers did have solid good shows because they had good material that is always in demand. But all in all prices are starting to drop on many coins and only time will tell how coin shows will fare vs our clients buying over the internet.
We attend all major shows either setting up or walking the floor and if you need auction representation, lot viewing expertise, a want list item or just a piece of candy (yes we spend about $100 per show on candy for our table) please make sure to see us.
One of the advantages we have is our “list” of coins / clients so we can find or help you sell your treasures at fair prices. Next stops locally Wespnex and nationally Houston Money show…hope to see you there!
