1834 PCGS MS65 3/Inverted 3     Watch Dog Sticker

The 1834 3 Over Inverted 3 Half Dime is very scarce in all grades. The first 3 digit in the date was punched upside-down and then re-struck to the correct position, therefore, creating a 3 Over Inverted 3 variety. This variety is very popular and fairly obvious to the naked eye. There are two known reverse die’s know for this variety. 

One of the finest known… the others ones are not available as they have been locked up in top collections and include one sold privately in 2009 D. Brent Pogue Collection and the one sold in May of 2015 via Sotheby’s Auctions for $25,850 – D.L. Hansen Collection.
