1874 PCGS PR64 CAM  CAC

and we quote from a recent auction of this coin….  “This is a wonderful, VERY CHOICE and near-GEM quality example of this short-lived subtype. Blazing, deep, crystal clear mirrors are clean, bold, and have extremely brilliant reflection on both sides. Certainly this coin is as close to a PR65 CAM grade as you can get, and we do not know what is keeping it in a PR64 CAM holder, all we see with a strong glass are some lint marks (as made) and a tiny line or tick can be found with effort. Miss Liberty and every detail are fully struck and clearly display a creamy white frost. The eye appeal is fabulous! Only 700 Proofs were struck. PCGS 18, NGC 5, CAC 5. This coin is the most recent example to sell in auction, realizing $3,240 in June 2020. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,000 and it is quite challenging to find finer. especially with CAC approval.  Cert. Number 37660242 PCGS # 85575”
