1943 PCGS MS61 1c Stuck on Silver 10c Blank

We are sure that you have heard of the 1943 Cents that accidently were stuck on copper planchets or blanks and have sold for a million dollars… for those of you in search of something just as cool…. We present this ultra rarity a Lincoln Cent struck on a silver planchet.

This is A very popular date and error type. During the wartime crush of coinage production, a few dime planchets found their way into the bins with the standard steel blanks for the 1943 cents.

Their similar brilliant silver colors did not draw attention to them apparently and there are a small number of these known.

This example appears to be one of the highest graded of these pieces.

A soft pewter-silver gray patina graces both sides, and there is a warm glowing satiny brilliance. The devices are weakly struck, as the dime planchet did not have enough metal to go all the way into the depths of the dies. There is no wear anywhere to be found. The comps are all over the place, we have found examples in XF Details to MS66, with prices ranging from $1,440 for low grade examples to well into the five figures.

We expect this coin is easily worthy of the price we are asking and it is offered at our best price!

A very rare and fascinating mint error, and one that will be the centerpiece in a really neat Lincoln cent collection!
