This is an untouched piece that was certified well over 20 years ago...1858 was the first year that proofs were struck for collectors. By coincidence, it was also the final year of the Type Two design for the Three Cent Silver. Thus, proof type demand is very strong for the present piece, from a low estimated production of 300+ pieces.
